I have my burts bees and I love it, but my love love love sis korres, its $9 but totally worth it, I got a minor chemical burn from a stupid lip plumper and the korres lip butter was the only thing that made it heal it has shea butter and rice wax in it. Don't forget to also Drink Water! When I am dehydrated my lips get chapped way more often. the korres is also mineral oil free and silicone free propylene glycol free and ethanolamine free

My most favorite lip balm from the drugstore would have to be the Blistex Lip Medex in a Jar. I use Mary Kay's Exfoliating Lip Balm and it works wonders! My lips feel super soft afterward.

Drink tons of water, don't lick your lips and try something natural like shea butter or coconut butter. :)

EOS is my new favorite lip balm ever and I love how it moisturizes your lips. I also loved Qtica Intense Lip Repair, MAC Naked Honey Skin Salve, Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine and MAC's tendertones. I would exfoliate your lips with either a soft toothbrush or with olive oil and sugar. LUSH has a Sugar Exfoliate that you can buy and I have been wanting to get it for so long.

I am a big big fan of blistex Silk&Shine its been my fav for years! I'm big into not feeling anything to heavy so the silk&shine is light and works great! Plus gives a bit of shine! My personal favorite!

I love my EOS lipbalm :) It smells like honey dew! I also love burts and bees, the original cherry chapstick, and my true shimmer tropical chapstick. The last one smells like pineapples and coconut! Yum!

I exfoliate with sugar, honey & olive oil.
My favorite drugstore brand of chapstick is Aquafina. It works well as a lip conditioner at night, as well as a lip protector [it has spf] during the day. I've only been able to find it at Wal*Mart

My HG lip balm is Chapstick in Medicated, been using it for over 2 years now and never had a problem with it. I have tried other brands every now and then (Burt's Bee's, Carmex, EOS, Blistex) but they ended up drying my lip. The worst one being Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm. :/
One I really want to try is Chapstick 100% Naturals Lip Butter, since I heard great things about it. But sadly I can't find it at any drugstore, might just order it online.

Something different works for everyone, but if your lips are dry then your not drinking enough, try to drink more water, or juice rather than soda if you even drink soda. and exfoliate gently, and don't use apricot scrub as it tears up your skin, just the tooth brush and a cleanser is fine, you don't actually need a scrub.
I use Rosebud Strawberry lip balm, it maybe $7 but it lasts ages. If I don't have that I use Kiss my face Vanilla Honey

I like Burts Bees Lip Balm. Beware of drying agents in lip balms! They will just make it worse. Also exfoliate. I like to use the Lush lip scrubs but you can make your own with olive oil and sugar =)

Lush has this amazing lip scrub. It's so good you can eat it. I mean not eating the entire jar but you know what I mean lol. The flavor I have is mint and it does wonders. With this cold dry season and my lips are always chapped the scrub really helps. The only lip balm or chap stick that I've used for years is Carmex. Also the aquafina chap stick is great also. I love the packaging.

Because of all the Hype I bought E.O.S lip balm and believe it or not it dried my lips out, when my lips weren't even dry to start off with.

Like Victoria I too follow this regiment.
1. "Exfoliate" my lips but with a facial brush. Those you can find for $1 at most dollar type store or just under a $5 at Target, Walmart, etc, etc. I've never been able to get past using a toothbrush - even a brand spanking new one - on anything but teeth. lol
2. LOTS of moisturizer for the lips - Vaseline in Honey is a good one but like she mentioned if you're not a petroleum fan there are other lip products to use.
3. Vitamins are a must. Not only do you get beautiful lips but skin, hair and nails! Take a normal multi-vitamin daily. SKIP the ones mention "just for" hair or nails because those typically contain excessive amounts of vitamins and minerals that can - over time - cause poisoning.

I use aquaphor on my lips in the morning when i get out of the shower and before i go to bed. It's like vaseline but a little creamier and you can use it on your hands or anywhere else on your body!

For a DIY for chapped lips I first take a warm washcloth and press it to my lips for about a minutes. Then I use a toothbrush to gently exfoliate for about 10-15 seconds on each lip. Then I press a warm washcloth to them again for about 30 seconds and apply aquaphor advanced therapy healing ointment. Its SUPER moisturizing and only about $12 for a legit HUGEEE tube that will last you a life time! and I mean HUGGGEEE! I talk about it in my everyday skincare routine video if your interested...here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnfnielo6aM

I exfoliate with LUSH's Mint Julips, which isn't a drug store product, but obviously there are quite a few home remedies to exfoliate your lips and use Burt's Bees, which I love.

just an fyi, petroleum jelly is probably not the best choice. It is basically all mineral oil. Mineral oil doesn't let your skin breathe...so yes it locks the moisture in which is why it is so hydrating but it isn't good for your skin.
