I currently use Estee Lauders black eye shadow and don't get me wrong I love it and would def recommend it, but sometimes even with eye primer after I tan it comes out to be more of a grayish black. I was wondering if any of you gorgeous ladies could recommend a really dark black I could use when going out?

The blackest black I own is in my Kat Von D Beethoven palette. I haven't found one in single pan form.

MAC's Carbon or Typographic eye shadows are very dark. I agree with Saadeh on Black by NYX too.
I haven't used it.. but I've heard nothing but good things about Bulletproof by Sugarpill as well. It's on my to-buy list.

Hi Chelsea! Everyone has really great recs. I use Make Up For Ever shadow in 'Black 4' and it's incredibly matte, silky, and pigmented. As with most shadows, you need to layer for pure intensity but once you do, it's a very pigmented pure black that will last all day/night! hope this helps!

Thanks for every ones suggestions! I used to use MAC's Carbon but I noticed most the "newer" MAC pigments don't have half the pigment they used to and they flake off.
But I am definitely going to try a couple of these suggestions and as well one a friend suggested by LORAC! =]

Seconding Sugarpill's Bulletproof. I only just recently bought my Sugarpill shadows, but they've quickly become my favourite--super pigmented, velvety-smooth, and fabulous staying-power!

I have to agree with Theresa Inglot's AMC 63 is the best! Also using a black base or eyeliner under can really help darken the black.

This was super helpful to me also! I recently moved over seas (and am moving again soon) and left my NYX black at home >_< So annoyed. But instead of buying a new one, I thought about trying a different one.
Pretty keen to try the MUFE one and the Sugarpill one. Was surprised to see someone suggest MACs carbon - that's terrible. :( I have it but never use it. Their eyeshadows have become sooo unpigmented. It's a real shame.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow :) I found this was blacker than what I've tried (including nars pandora, night breed) I also used to like MAC's greasepaint stick but I guess they discontinued that!

In the UK we have Sleek cosmetics, and they have a palette called the Storm palette, which has a matte black, Its blacker than my eyeliners, liquid and pencil! Sleek make up is pretty pigmented as it is but that black shadow is just amazing. Wish they did it as a single pan, but considering the palette is only around £6, I am not complaining!

Bulletproof by Sugarpill. It is so pigmented that you don't really need base at all. It is just amazing!

I have to say, after trying a huge pile of black shadows, my blackest one is still Fyrinnae Snow White. It is matte black with no dulling or graying with application wet or dry!
