Their pigments are FDA approved for eyes, lips and face; it also includes ingredients. The eyeshadows do not list any ingredients and do not say they are approved in any way. It also mentions the shadows are purchased by a third-party company on Monday and Friday, but doesn't give any information about the products. Take it as you will.

I ordered three color wheels before (not sure if they still sell them) and they sent the wrong order but I was actually quite content with the customer service and they fixed the issue quickly. The packaging (well, sticker) was kickass, however, the colors (IMO) were not nearly as pigmented as I expected. Not nearly. Also, I later saw the exact same color wheels on eBay for a way cheaper price which cuts back into the repackaging thing. Overall, I wasn't impressed at all. I prefer Sugarpill way more if you're looking for an eclectic type brand.

@andrew i'm not sure check out there website www.bitchslap-cosmetics.com

@airi if what your saying is a fact then i 100% agree with you , it is not worth the risk. but to each his own, in my case i shall see wither the risk was worth it.

I actually heard a lot about this company, good and bad, so I just refrained from buying it in general! I really couldn't make up my mind. LOL Check out my beauty vids.

@Jessica Lynn, you said "There stuff is pretty safe before and after if you look at it this way any makeup products that have Parabeans can cause cancer and lots of cosmetics have them so what won't harm you??"

^ That was the statement that I was referring to in which you basically implied that BSC wasn't safe but neither was anyone else's cosmetics. Maybe that's just the way that I interpreted it, but that's what I got out of that statement.

At any rate, I really wanted to like BSC, but i'll be damned if I pay a 400% markup for a sticker and a cute name and some cheap makeup that may or may not be eye safe. I think that as soon as the shit started hitting the fan Kathy went behind herself and changed her website and started listing what was and what was not eye safe and also admitting that she used a third party wholesaler to purchase "her" cosmetics from because I remember checking out her cosmetics over the summer and none of the "not eye safe" warnings were there because I actually considered buying one of the paint wheels and I know i'm entirely too paranoid to buy something that's not eye safe. I won't even use MAC's pigments that aren't eye safe on my eyes.

@Keshonta, congrats on making the smart decision to cut out the middle man and go straight to the source lol. It makes absolutely no sense to pay a 400% markup for any product. I mean, drama and safety issues aside, I think that's the main reason why I don't purchase cosmetics from companies like BSC and Lime Crime.. It's like.. if I went and spent 700 dollars on some Christian Louboutin shoes and then saw them selling the EXACT SAME SHOES at the swap meet for 10 dollars and the only difference was that the swap meet shoes didn't have the box, i'd be mad as hell. To me, there's no difference in that and paying 20 dollars for something that costs 3 dollars. *shrugs* And yes, all companies make stuff for cheap and sell it for higher prices, but honey if I could go to whoever supplies Nars, MAC, Urban Decay, or Too Faced and get those same products for cheap, I damn sure would..

Ok, I agree 100% lanesha. Sometimes you just gotta think outside the box.

@airi do you know what website I can purchase the ud shadows for that price?

^Hautelook.com/Ideeli.com/RueLaLa.com's sales. They have Urban Decay sales every month or so.  =D

Thanks ,hun

(Sorry, mad late I know)

My issue with the whole thing is, and after doing a deep investigation inn the issue is the folowing:
-If you go to ladyburd.com (Which from what I see, is the BitchSlap manufacturer) it states that most of the "Paint Wheels" as well as other eye-shadows and pigments are not approved for use in the eye area... This is stated NOWHERE in the BitchSlap-Cosmetics.com website as a warning... Yet I go on YouTube and see THOUSANDS of makeup tutorials of people using these paint wheels as well as labeled "Eye-Shadows" for eye looks... Do they have any idea to what they are exposing themselves to? I guess not...

-After researching the ingredients in the FDA website I found out that these pigments in their full capacity (As sold from ladyburd) When in contact with the sensitive and thin skin of the eyes it's not suspected, it's not investigated, IT'S PROVEN to cause skin cancer... Yes, the BIG C word...

It is a shame, the pigments are lovely, bold and amazing, the packaging is cute and all, but really? Where is the FDA when you need it...

Oh yea... I agree with Smashley S on the whole name thing too...
I don't need my 8 year old daughter to find and learn these insulting, degrading and obscene words from my makeup bag... Not happening.

Well after I was badgered my one of there promoters I pretty much came to my own conclusion F*** BSC don't need em I can order my own stuff way cheaper. The owner and promoters SUCK!!! not skill wise but they lack class and personality.

Haven't heard of them before coming to Beautylish. So after hearing about them, I did some research... looked for the good, bad -- the ugly. And from my own conclusions this is one company I will never buy from.

If you want very pigmented, crazy colors... Surgarpill can do that for you. Especially when they're coming out with new colors (there are a few bloggers out there that got first dibs on them, and did some reviews).

@Yvette...
<<This is stated NOWHERE in the BitchSlap-Cosmetics.com website as a warning...>>

For the eye paints, yes, it does say they may not be eye-safe. I just checked it.

Are there ingredient lists anywhere? Neither website has one. (Srsly? In 2011-going-on-2012?)
