I have seen a lot of biased opinions on this matter. "I" think as a makeup artist you shouldn't limit the possiblilities of creating a nice polished look that best suits you. I love a dark eye with red lips, some of it's gothic and some of it can be very classic , depending on how it's done. What are some of you guy's opinions?

I think it mostly depends on the situation. But makeup looks shouldn't be a set way of doing it. Make it match your personality an style!

depends on the situation. most times, i prefer one or the other but it's not a hard and fast rule. dramatic everything: firece eye, with ignorant bold lip, is best reserved for going out at night and things like halloween.

Once you have the attitude that goes with it u can definitely rock bold eyes & lips. the two should complement each other but bold blush as well, now that would be an overkill. i think this look would be best suited for night time tho, with a simple outfit/ hairdo. just my take on it :)

In Indian culture, it's very common to go with dramatic eyes and bold lips. Personally, i agree that it depends on the situation.

I'm a big fan of a smokey eye and my matte red lipstick. Fabulous to me!!!!!!!!!

Overall if whatever look makes you feel good and look better then it should work. :) Personally I'm getting tired of the smoky eyes and nude lips, so to try and jazz it up a little I use hot pink on the lips or red. It gives a totally different more fierce look but still looks awesome! :)
