Hi! Can anyone recommend their favorite--and softest--eye brushes? I'm tired of my blending brush messing up my eye shadow because it's too stiff. Also--and I know this will sound wimpy--but I hate that feeling of hard bristles poking at my eyelids! Thanks in advance for any recommendations you have!

I have 2 Clinique brushes that are very soft on my lids!
Also have you tried Sephora brushes? They are pretty soft as well. If your looking for a cheaper brand try Sonya Kashuk (not sure if that is spelled right). You can buy them at Target and they are def worth the money!

Thanks doll! I have a couple of other Sephora things I've been wanting to get but putting off until I had a bigger order...think I'm going to add some brushes and place the order!  :-)

My favorite eye makeup brush in the world is this one from Laura Mercier: http://www.beautylish.com/p/laura-mercier-smoky-eyeliner-brush
I use it for everything from smudging pencil to applying shadow. It changed my life and made me able to do a GOOD smoky eye.

Ning, that Laura Mercier brush is fantastic--I have hooded eyes and it looks like it would work for me too! Also, Sephora has it, so I can add it to my order. Thanks sooooooooooo much!

A really good cheap alternative for soft eyeshadow brushes are Essence of Beauty brushes [my favorite for eyes] and Ecotools [my favorite for face]. I'm a complete brush snob, but those are the two that stand out when I need good brushes to rotate in and out w/ some of my higher-end brushes.

Thanks Soma! You know, I have an Ecotools blush brush and it's my favorite--silky soft. I'll have to try more of their face brushes! I'll look for the Essence of Beauty brushes as well; you can never have too many good eye brushes!!

I love my crown and studio e.l.f. brushes. They are on the cheaper side as well. I stopped spending alot of money on brushes b/c some of the less expensive ones are just as good.

i agree with rachael, if you can get your hands on crown brushes, they are bomb and cheap. try and go to IMATS. best place for great brushes for cheap :)

Thank you both! I'd heard good things about the studio e.l.f. brushes on YouTube--haven't checked out crown brushes, but I will now! Thanks to all who posted on this thread, my brush collection is finally getting up to speed! :-)

One of my favourite brushes in from clinque! I saw it on a tutorial on youtube and literally ran out the next day to get it. It's simply called a blending brush (i think) and it is so divinely soft!

You should try out Sigma brushes. (www.sigmamakeup.com) Their quality is similar if not equivalent to MAC's, only it's much more affordable. :)

Sarah C - I totally agree with you, Crown brushes were scratchy to me, even though I used Enkore's method to condition and de-stink some of them... =(

If you're going high-end, use Hakuhodo. I <3 mine, and there's something about the S100s that get me too excited to pick them up.  =P
