What are your opinions on this product. And is it even worth buying?

I absolutely love MAC Pressed Blot Powder! I have combination skin and use the blot powder to set my makeup. It does an amazing job absorbing oil all day long. I've recommended it to multiple people and haven't heard a complaint yet.

I noticed that the MAC website doesn't list the ingredients in it. So I went Google hunting and found that the ingredients are Mica, Dimethicone, Silica, Kaolin, Water, Sodium Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Collagen, Methicone, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Iron Oxides, Ultramarines.
Cost for MAC's Blot Powder: 12 g / 0.42 US oz US$23.00 ($13.80 pro).
I don't know what ProFACE Setting Powder by Mehron contains other than anti-antiperspirant but I do know that cosplayers have been using it for years (as well as clowns who use the white powder if they have a white face on). The neutral powder can be use over even black without turning it gray and it works well on normal foundation. Cost: 2oz for $7.95.
MAC is great but there ARE other products out there for far less and that tend to be better.

I LOVE blot powder, especially because it comes in a convenient pressed compact so it's portable and can be applied with a puff, sponge, or brush. But if your face is really really shiny, it's best to use blotting paper first and then apply the powder on top. Otherwise, it can look a little cakey.

Does it dry the skin?

It is really good if you want to touch up or set foundation without adding coverage. So you don't end up hiding your blush if you need to touch up! BUT I find if you use studio fix powder with a large loose brush then it doesn't seem to add coverage! Which is sometimes a good thing.

It was OK at best in my opinion. The drugstore products that serve the same purpose work just as well IMO. I have bought three and all of them have shattered (my fault) but still annoying!
