What's your biggest beauty regret?

Yes, overplucking my eyebrows as you can see. I had really bushy eyebrows prior to my first time plucking them, and I remember my auntie telling my cousin and I, that bushy eyebrows... groomed, but thick eyebrows were very beautiful. I didn't believe her. Now I see so much beautiful models/actresses with full eyebrows, compared to my very fine/thin one I have now. I regret overplucking... really regret it.

That and sharing my powder with friends back in highschool. My skin was so flawless, but sharing my powder (using the same puff), and not taking care of my skin at all, led to me breaking out Sophmore year, and having skin problems ever since then. I tried everything to clear it, Proactive, Acne Free, Dr. Dennis Gross (spending $$$ for a 30-day peel), going to the dermatologist multiple times... =(

Pretty much these are my two biggest regrets, and if only I can turn back time.

I would have to say abusing of taning... I thought for years I needed to be tan to look good. Today, I'm 32 years old and I don't tan anymore. My skin is thick n rought, dehydrated (nomatter how much water I drink!) n obviously some damage on the rest of my body...I now believe that makeup stands out more on a light canvas..!

The eyebrow issue is common i see lol, it was horrible, i remember overplucking them as well, it was really funny and i actually looked like "O_O" all the time, people were like "Did something happen?"

Not hearing my voice and following what everyone else was doing. Some of there makeup was horrible too lil,but you live you learn you get better .

Over plucking my brows & over tanning my skin! My eyebrows are so thin and fine now.. I've actually resorted to letting them go natural and grow out since it was getting impossible to get any shape in them! :(

As for the tanning, grew up in the suburbs so all I did was tan and lay out after school. Now my skin is freckled. Boo!

For those who struggle with sunspots and pigmentation, Dermalogica has a range of products that works super well to lighten them, it's called the Dermalogica Chroma White Trx range, have a look at http://www.beautyflash.co.uk/dermalogica/chroma-white-trx.html.

My worst thing is my hair... it's like a weird curly wavy bushy mess and I used to just paste it to my head to get it under control. Best thing I ever did was buy a decent straightener and a good thermal protector (and having it cut and styled by someone who knows what they're doing)!

Not eating healthy!

Being afraid to experiment with face make up! I know that sounds lame but I always felt like eye make up and face make up were two different things.... and I mean of course they are but I was always nervous to explore... since you know, face make up requires a bit of color matching (of which I WOULD AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE) but I'm slowly dipping my feet into the water and I LOVE IT! HAhaha. I don't want full coverage, though. I'm not 'proud' of my acne scars, but I don't mind them and they make me more .... me. But evening out my skintone is the best thing I've ever done to myself!

Omg do I regret ever going to the tanning salon- so silly and unnecessary!! I just hoped I kicked that bad habit before I did too much damage.. only time will show me that : X

Using a tiny mirror to do my entire makeup!

I used to be in a rush to get to my university to get a parking space, so sometimes I'd do my makeup in the car once I'd got there. The main problem with that is that I colour my hair darker than it is naturally, and have to pencil in my brows. Because I'm using such a small mirror it means i cant really see my hairline whilst I'm drawing them on (meaning I cant see the lightness of my roots as they grow out) so I get out of the car thinking I look fine, then some point during the day I walk past a large mirror and I see how RIDICULOUS I look because my eyebrows are so much darker than my roots :(

I have three regrets. =/
1. Not doing any color to my hair in high skool cause my parents said it was a phase.
2. Not putting on make up during first 3 yrs of high school since i felt like ill look weird if i did something wrong.
3. Not keeping my red hair long enough because i felt it was to trending..i catch myself missing it time to time..

Tanning like a crazy person after high school because I just had to have that super tan look and over plucking my brows lol!

Dyeing the top layer of my hair blonde and the rest black. I loved it for about 2 months then realised how bad it looked and tried to get the black to the same blonde as my top layer... it took a year and now all my hair is the same colour but feels like straw...

Not blending my eyeshadow in high school and wearing too much makeup. I didn't start early but I wore way more than I needed in high school! People used to call me a cake face :( High school kids were so cruel! The kids at my school would wear no makeup, spirit shirts, basketball shorts and messed up ponytails to school. The girls who wore makeup were made fun of :/

oh and 3 more...lol you're going to laugh at these! In middle school I had bangs and hated them so I cut them off! Lmfao I was left looking like a rooster! Another one was when I dyed my hair with sun-in and used too much on my roots. I had an orange spot only there!!! Lol maaan the things I have learned through the years! Hahahaha another one was over-tweezing my brows in high school...thank God they are thick and full again! :)

defenetly cutting all my hair off :( I used to have hair down to my lower back, than I cut it really short, I loved it for a couple of years, but now I'm trying to grow it out again, and it takes forever :(

I'm with the "regrets from high school" crowd. I did not take care of my skin at all during those years! I used to not even wash my face in the morning...I would just wake up and put foundation on (which probably didn't match my skin color well, of course). Blech! And moisturizer? I didn't acknowledge its existence until a good couple years into college.

over plucking my eyebrows! I shaved off the outer half when I was a teen, and they haven't grown back:(

Shaving my eyebrows when I was younger. Also, cutting my hair. I used to have long, long, long hair, but I chopped it all off. Now I can't get it to grow passed my shoulders.

My regret is dying my hair black. My natural color is dark brown with red undertones and I have very fair warm.olive skin and blue eyes. I got so many compliments on black instead of dark brown but as I let it grow out, I am so mad that I did it and I am still in high school!

I plucked my eyebrows really badly into that L shape look >_< It took a few months to fix, and I'm so glad it was fixable xD My mum has some pretty awful photos of my terrible (or non existent) blending when I was about 13 and just getting into makeup. I cringe looking at them now xD

Ah, so many regrets. For one, I never took care of my skin in high school. I was in Track & Field and after training everyday I'd just use a bar of soap for everything. Hair, body, face. No conditioner, no moisturiser, definitely no sunblock. *shudder*

I had decided to chop all my hair off in my second year because that's just one more thing I couldn't be bothered with (?!?) and, bearing in mind that I didn't discover make-up till my Uni years, I was a super-tanned, oily, bare-faced, plus-size girl. Pretty, no? Good thing I never got any grief for it. Probably 'cos I could've beaten anyone who might've dared to do so into a bloody pulp at the time. Nyahaha. Not that I would've. (>.<)"

Right now, I regret still not being able to be more adventurous with my make-up. This month, I promise to take that red lipstick out for a spin. Really-really. *NODNOD*

all the caffeine i drink and not enough water my skin is so dull..sadly i'm still drinking too much caffeine but i'm getting better

Using indoor tanning beds. Although I only used it for a year and there are no signs of aging or skin cancer, I honestly regret putting my life in danger over something so vain when there are so many amazing self tanners out there that I could use to get the same results. But beside that, I should have just accepted and loved the fair freckly skin that I have rather than trying to change the color of it. Since then, I religiously wear SPF 50 all over and reapply it to my face and other exposed areas of skin daily, it may not correct the damage already done, but its working to prevent any further damage. Take my advice, tanning is not cool being HEALTHY is.
