Anyway I am wearing Russian Navy by OPI right now. My picture doesn't show it off well, but its a great dark navy blue with a micro purple glitter in it. I'm happy I finally found a dark navy that you can tell is navy and doesn't just look black.

Did you know that the nails are about 100 times more absorbent than skin? 100 TIMES! I've written numerous posts highly recommending you use safe, non-toxic cosmetics completely free of known carcinogens but sometimes many women forget to think about what's in their nail polish. It is a MUST to be careful what you put on those nails!
According to EWG’s Skin Deep database of cosmetic product safety, nail polish is among the highest-concern product categories in terms of serious health effects. This has to do in large part to the chemicals formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyphthalate (DBP), all three of which make it into the top ingredients of concern in personal care products, and all three of which could be found in many brands of nail polish until very recently.
Most of the popular polishes out there are now free of the "Big 3" which certainly makes them safer, but by no means makes them safe. Even the so-called safe versions, like Zoya and Spa Rituals, still contain a crazy amount of toxic substances. If you’re wondering why polishes like OPI and Sally Hansen and even Chanel don’t chip, its because they contain industrial grade solvents that are used to coat windshields and airplanes–solvents which are incredibly harmful hormone disrupters and neurotoxins. A little overkill for your weekly mani & pedis, don't ya think?
Aren't those glittery polishes in cute packaging your daughter receives as gifts adorable? If only you knew what was in them and being absorbed into her tiny little hands and ultimately ending up in her bloodstream. Most of the polishes marketed to little girls, along with the matching lip glosses and "play" makeup in those sets, are manufactured in China where they are loaded with cheap ingredients they have in abundance there - which equates to loads of toxins!
BEWARE - All you ladies that love to wear falsies, eyelash glue and nail glue contain formaldehyde! Formaldehyde is used to prevent the growth of bacteria in personal care products and cosmetics. It's also as a preservative of dead human bodies...hmmm pretty powerful stuff you're putting on those highly absorbent eyes and nails!
Health hazards: Formaldehyde has been shown to cause allergic skin reactions and rashes in some people, and is considered a probable carcinogen.
How to avoid it: In Europe and Canada, products containing formaldehyde must carry a warning label, and in Japan and Sweden, it has been banned from use in cosmetics and toiletries altogether. In other countries such as the U.S., look for the following ingredients that are indicators that formaldehyde is included: formalin, methanal, urea, quatemium 15, oxymethyline, methylaldehyde, formic aldehyde, oxomethane formalin, 1,3-dioxetane, phenol formaldehyde and methylene oxide.
Knowledge is everything - attain, retain & share it! Always remember to EVOKE Elegance...naturally!

I have Facets of Fuchsia on too. I want to paint my toes but I don't know what are good fall toe nail colors. Snowed for the first time today! Any suggestions?

Right now I have this mud color on my toes from Revlon. I only wear clear or Essie Ballet Slippers on my fingers. OPI Mermaid's Tears is a fantastic color, and I just got the stormy gray new one from Essie, going to put it on tomorrow. I am all about gray this year in clothes, so, toenails, too!
