Alrighhtttieeee ladies :) I have a bit of a project & I need your help
When you are doing a bridal trial/consultation what kind of questions do you ask and what kind of notes do you take
I know I myself, always jot down:
her daily makeup routine
what her skin is like/any conditions
event date
how many people ill be working on that day
address and contact information
her vision of her ideal look
wedding dress details
and wedding theme
is there anything else that you make sure to take note of? anything at all? :)

indoor/outdoor wedding, weather conditions for the day [estimated], payment method, color scheme for overall wedding, one look for the entire day or something that can be buit upon for reception [opportunity for more work/$], comfort level with wearing makeup on a daily basis, features they would like to enhance/cover up, do they want "drama" vs "a more enhanced version of themselves" on their wedding day... Hope that helps!

Build the sale if possible -- does she want you to do her make up for the bachelorette party? Shower? Rehearsal Dinner? Also being around for the shower for "tips" and "makeovers" can be a fun way to make some extra money and increase value-added with the bride. Maybe do a run-down of how to make your makeup look its best in photographs -- her wedding guests at the shower will definitely appreciate your advice.
Also include any and all special arrangements in your contract -- you want to protect yourself and protect her interests too.

Find out if she'll want a touch up after the ceremony before the reception (so many brides cry in the ceremony and so many pictures are taken in the reception). Also, some couples do pics before the ceremony and some after. That could change the schedule as well.
Another important thing to note is known allergies to cosmetics for anyone being made up. It's amazing how many people have allergies to major companies.
Good luck!

This is a really helpful post!
I also ask if they are vegan/vegetarian. A HUGE problem with lip colours if they are, as you can;t use most red lippies that contain carmine (made of crushed insects), colours containing lanolin or beeswax. Not to mention natural brushes.
I have a whole specialised kit to suit vegan/vegetarian clients. Took a while to do the research but it puts a lot of clients at ease!
