So I have very sensitive skin and I breakout easily. I'm trying to find a good foundation that covers my trouble spots but won't clog me up too much. I've tried the Almay one with salicylic acid in it but it doesn't give me any coverage. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Actually I recommend Rare Minerals cleanser. My own skin is sensitive and I have a bit of roseasca but after switching to the cleanser my skin cleared up drastically. I believe once you take care of your skin first then you won't have to worry about the foundation.

That said, it's pricey but have you considered using a mineral foundation? I haven't had any personal experience with mineral foundations but from what I've heard it's good for those with acne problems.

Like Yasmin said totally give mineral make up a try. When I first started off using foundation I started with bare minerals and it worked great with my sensitive skin. I didn't break out and didn't blog my pores. I still use the mineral veil and I love their brushes. Still own mines after 4 years.

I had really bad acne about a year ago, and although most of it's cleared up I still try my best to keep my pores clean. That said, I really stick to mineral foundation. Most mineral foundations don't have any type of silcone in their ingredients and that's what makes them a really good option for acne prone skin. Like Linda and Yasmin said, Bare Mineral foundation is a good one, I've used it for a long time and never had any breakouts. If you don't like minerals, Cover FX is a really good cream foundation. I don't suggest it unless your acne is really bad because it is expensive. Right now I'm using L'Oreal Bare Naturale Powder Mineral Foundation and I haven't had problems with it after 6 months. It's pretty inexpensive too, about 13 bucks at CVS!

Have you tried Neutrogena's Healthy Skin line of makeup? They have both a liquid foundation and pressed powder and it contains Salicylic Acid, which treats and prevents acne breakouts. I recommended this product to a friend and she reported back fabulous results! She said she's received tons of compliments on how nice her skin is looking these days!

I started getting adult acne about 4 months ago. Since then, mineral makeup doesn't work for me; my face looks "wet" (according to my husband) after about an hour. I think the minerals get in my pores and agitates them so they generate oil to push the minerals out...

Anyhow, I was using the Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse daily. I get a dewey finish that lasts from 8a-2p, then I start to get some shine. Been using Revlon Colorstay for oily/combination skin, and it went 14 hours before I got oily.

I'm starting to think that I need to change up or alternate my foundation like I alternate my face wash.

There are two really good ones that my dermatologist recommended and you can look up reviews to confirm..dermablend which is full coverage and will even cover tattoos but it's not going to clog your pores and lancome teint 24 hr..both are pricey but if you really want the full coverage look then try it out.

Check the product on cosdna.com. It grades all ingredients in the product on a scale of 1-5, 1 likely to cause acne and 5 means hello breakout.

Exuviance is great, and neutrogena makes one that is actually quite good. mineral makeup can be good but a tad overrated, that said the bare minerals pressed is nice.

Clinique!! Every skin issue I've had they have a solution for! My mom even uses it. We've never had any issues with irritation and my skin improved really quickly! The downside is the cost - it's definitely worth it though. I used to have horrible acne, dark spots, huge pores, and now it's not noticeable even when I don't wear makeup. Truly a great investment. they also have a personalized skin care "quiz" to find what's best for you, and the people at department stores where they sell it are very helpful.

I've tried many foundations with acne prone/ sensitive skin/ scarring and have found success with 2. Dior air flash foundation ($62) - lightweight with build able coverage that lasts all day with a good primer. The other is the Calvin Klein 3 in 1 SPF 8, primer, and a oil free foundation. I don't use bb creams because I feel like they're too sheer.: But this one covers amazing. And it has vitamins like A and E that do good at the same time! It's only $30.. Go to ulta and try it! Good luck
