Hey everyone! So I'm finally taking the plunge and getting myself some hair extensions. The problem is, I don't know which ones to go for. They seem to be about the same quality, and they're the same length and weight. Does anyone own either brand (or both) and can you tell me your opinions? Also, one big thing is that FoxyLocks is almost always sold out, but they are slightly cheaper than Luxy, due to exchange rates. I just don't know which way to go! Help me out!

Neither. I would go with Doctored Locks which is based in the US. I trust Doctored Locks as they're actually have a physical salon location. The prices are comparable.

I bought Luxy hair extensions and loved them.. UNTIL I washed them and straightened them I realized after washing they had a little synthetic smell and when I straightened them I noticed there was definitely synthetic hair in there. They advertise it to be 100% virgin, remy hair and it really isn't. If you don't care about not getting what they say you're getting then I'd say go for it. They still look pretty and natural they'll just get messed up faster and they're a little heavy.

I've heard bad things about both those brands when I was doing my research before purchasing mine. I went with a brand called lush locks extensions at www.mypinkvanity.com. Excellent quality, 100 % remy indian hair. Customer service was amazing, quick and honest. The only thing was when I ordered two years ago there was a waitlist. So worth it though. I dyed them and curled them all with no problem.

I really like foxylocks extensions!! I got them March 2012 but I stopped wearing them in August because I got a perm but I will wear them again soon!! They are very soft and shiny. The only issue I had was that they tangled in my hair a bit (nothing too bad) and they made my head hurt if I wore them too much. But that's just my sensitive head! Other than that I really like them!! They were also a tad bit too thin for my hair because I have really thick hair but after thinning my hair it blended perfectly!! Just do research because everyone's hair is different. But good luck!
