I have long, fine hair but I have a LOT of it and I find it hard to curl. Will curlers give me the volume I need? And if so, which brand/kind do you suggest? Hot rollers or dry rollers?

maybe try a straightener? i find that the curls i get from curling my hair with a hair straightener lasts waaaaaaaay longer than using a curling iron. dry rollers give me volume, but not curls.
hope this helps!

For volume try using a round brush when blow drying your hair. Use the round brush at the crown of your head. Should give you natural looking volume. Also velcro rollers work wonders too. I leave them in my hair when getting ready and when done I when I take them out and gives me really soft looking curls with volume. Really pretty.
For curls give a clipless curling iron a try. I noticed that my curls last a lot longer when using a clipless iron.

I have tried to use a straightener but sometimes it just will not work! My hair is very hard to curl and they don't last for very long (usually).

I got the Conair Infiniti- You Curl Iron. I have thinner hair and it works for me. My hair normally doesnt hold any curl but when I use this... it does. It does take a bit of getting use to, but it will be worth it. If you dont know which curling iron Im talking about... its the one without the clip. They sell it at Target and Ulta.

For volume, i would suggest using velcro rollers. But for curling, I would go with a flat iron. It definitely lasts longer than using a curling iron. I think you just have to find a good method for curling using a flat iron. And using a flat iron instead takes wayyyy less time than curling with a curling iron :)

I have chemically straightened hair which is nearly impossible to curl. When I used a curling iron, it wouldn't even last for an hour! I recently got the Cortex 4-in-1 iron, and it is AWESOME! The curls actually stay in without hairspray. I definitely recommend that! You can get them at beautychoice.com for about $100.

A great way to add volume is by using a flat brush when you dry your hair. Put the brush in your hair at the roots and when you dry it, pull the brush away, rolling it slightly. When the hair heats up against the edge of the brush, it'll create a slight curl that'll give you volume. That's how it's done at salons. I might make a video demonstrating this because it's kind of hard to explain.

I have the same kind of hair as you! To keep a curl I usually but gel in my hair when it's still wet and then once it dries hairspray it before and after the curl (I know it takes extra time but trust me! It works!) once I started doing this it didn't matter which curling iron/technique I used
