I didn't see anyone mention Inglot, so I'll add that on here. I've just ordered 15 of their rainbow shadows. I love Inglot coz it's really pigmented, and you can get a shadow for $6 which are bigger than your Mac shadows that's double the price, or get a rainbow shadow for $8 and get three shades of a color in one shadow. I also love it because I can customize my palette. It is so worth the money. I also have the Tarte Carried Away set and the 24 full size amazonian clay shadows are buttery and very pigmented. The whole set is $54 and comes with an amazonian clay blush, a deluxe size mascara, and 8 maracuja oil lip glosses together with the 24 full size shadows.

I dont think you can go wrong with either Urban Decay Naked Palette and the BH Cosmetics palettes are good value for money however ive found a couple of the shadows a little hard to work with. These give a great selection of colours and for the price you can live with a couple of the colours being a little chalky (some matte ones) or some that are overly shimmery that are hard to blend nicely when the majority of the shadows are buttery and very pigmented.

PS - choosing between palettes or shades never gets easier. Narrow it down to the 2 that you love ... and then buy both lol!

Smashbox has a wonderful palette out with 45 eye shadows, a few highlights and cheek colors, like 6 or 8 cream liners and 6 lip colors for only $59 @ ulta beauty. They also have the UD Naked palettes 1 and 2 for $50 and you get great gifts with purchase.

You should ask for the sephora Christmas box there are loads of eyeshadow it also includes lip colours, eyeliner, hilighter and blush it has over 60 eyeshadow a very good quality and is a decent price and such lovely packaging it also comes with 3 brushes! It is a good gift and a good thing to ask for!

e.l.f. palettes & BH cosmetics work very nicely and pigmented... affirdable also. (dont be fooled by big name brands)
