I want to get an eyeshadow palette for christmas but there is so much to choose from! I know Sephora has a bunch of awesome makeup palettes but I just can't choose the one that has a variety of colors and has great quality. Any suggestions??

Depending on your budget will depend on the type of palette you're looking to get. I recommend Coastal Scents (very affordable with a lot of options), Too Faced, Tarte and Stila. Urban Decay's palettes are popular, but I have heard their shadows can be chunky and/or chalky.

There are so many great palettes out there. I can't speak from experience on Coastal Scents or BH but I DO love Kat Von D's Adora palette as well as Smashbox's Wish. I have Sephora's 2010 collection and it's okay.

well first of all, it depends on how much you want to spend on your palette. I agree with Kasi. NYX has really really good palettes if you are just starting off and you dont want to spend too much money and want to get as many colors as they can. they are only about less than $10 i would say, plus they always have sales so you should look out for those. You can go to Mac and build your own palette with 4 different shades in it. If you want a palette that is already built, Too Faced has really good neutral, and smokey eye shadows. My favorite is the Urban Decay Naked Palette, but that unfortunately isn't available in stores right now unless you are lucky to find out somewhere, the only thing that it doesnt have is bright colors but alot of people don't really look for bright colors when they first buy a palette. It's at my local JCPenney Sephora. Just saw it in stock last night because one of the employees and I were discussing the 15th Anniversary set coming out in Jan and another employee mistook what we discussing and pulled out the Naked palette.

Ulta has the Naked Palette. (I just ordered one! Finally! So stoked.)
Beyond that, I have my eyes on a couple of NYX palettes (the ones with ten shadows).

My favorite palette is the Urban decay naked palette! It is hard to get your hands on but is so worth it when you get it! It is my go-to for neutrals! I also love my too faced neutral eye palette and my bh cosmetics palette. You can also make your own from MAC with the shadows you choose. I have a 15x palette that I am working on right now and have 6 eyeshadows so far. It is a fun little project for me! But like I said those are my favorites :)

I am addicted to palettes. I love Coastal Scents, Urban Decay (naked), The Tarte Jewelry box Holiday Palette and the Sephora collection blockbuster. I could go on but I won't. LOL

If you have a higher amount of money I'd suggest going to mac and making a pallette with all your favorite colors because you could customize it however you want to. If you're looking for something cheaper but still awesome Coastal Scents has a huge vareity and are super cheap. Urban Decay, Too Faced, and many other brands at Sephora also have really fun palletes!

Coastal Scents 88 Palettes are a good bang for your buck. They are inexpensive and very pigmented. I love the 88 UltraShimmerPalette.

definitely urban decay naked palette 1 or 2 you can't really go wrong with either. if you like bolder colors and like to switch it up urban decays remake of the new York palette is AMAZING. just bought it and I'm in love. I work at Ulta and we always keep stock of all three they do sell out super fast.

Urban Decay Naked or Naked 2 is amazing. If you want a cheaper palette NYX has a Nude on Nude palette that is pretty nice.
