Personally, I think it all depends on the person.
There are some women who view make up as the foulest thing evented. They feel women use it for the male gaze, to hide their true identity, and that the fact its not available for all women it causes self esteem issues.
I use to be one of these women and mostly heard viewpoint for against make up - for most of my life.
But one day, I did a co op at a spa place and my view points changed ( being a feminist myself ).
It changed because I realized there were many women who believed they were beautiful with and without their make up.
With their make up on they felt glamorous and no one - male or female - had the right to tell a woman what she can and cannot wear to make her feel sexy/beautiful.
Where you run into problems is when you try to push a view on to other people.

Sometimes, if people feel they can't be beautiful without it. But not even you use it to highlight features or effects.
