You can use different airbrushing foundations based on the type. For example, I have a Dinair and it's made for water-based foundations so I can only use water-based foundations with it. Other systems use ones with silicone-based foundations, etc. Fun stuff though!

I do the same as @DJ M. Use the same base Makeup that the company uses for your system. Using silicone base in a water base system will eithe ruin thensystem or you would have to send in the gun in for special cleaning after then first use.

The guns from different companys are built different so a water base makeup the nozel tends to be smaller as for silicone base makeup nozels are bigger. But for example if you get a system from temptu they have both water base and silicone base makeup so their pro system will work with both : )

I have the Luminess air pro one. .. i've only used the foundation from luminess, but i can tell you that in the fine print- if you use any other product than luminess, it voids the warranty - not sure how'd they know, but just letting you know :P

I can't remember where I heard it, but I didn't hear the best things about Luminess Air. I'd say get the Dinair, everyone that has one seems to love it. I bought the Temptu Pro one because I wanted silicone based makeup.. but that was my preference. If I was going to get water-based I would of bought a Dinair.
