I got into makeup within the last year and have a very small amount. I was curious as to what you would recommend for me. I have very pale skin (Porcelain in Bobbi Brown according to the Bobbi rep I spoke to), freckles, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and I have redness in my cheeks that is possibly mild rosacea. Since the Sephora Friends and Family sale is starting tomorrow (eek!) I'd like to go in with some ideas so I can buy some good things to start with that would look good on me. Thanks so much!

if you are pale i suggest you should try out the following products at sephora:
http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P281701&categoryId=C19970&shouldPaginate=true
http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P294808&categoryId=C19970&shouldPaginate=true

the tarte eyelash curler is a favorite of many gurus so try it out.
all the 3 things here are affordable too if you are a beginner you don't need to spend much.
so you really get the bang for your buck with these value sets.
tip: if you are on a budget or not i really suggest you try out eyeslipsface.com
they are super cheap and amazing products.
the swatches of products are not the best on the website but look for swatches on google of the products you are intrested in buying.
let me know if you want to try them out.
I can suggest many amazing products they have since i've been using products from them for years! =D

It's not from sephora, but I recommend Jackie Oates from Lush as a foundation/concealer. It's for pale people, blends so easily, doesn't smudge once set with powder and you can build up as much as you like without it looking too cakey :)

well if you go to coastalscents.com they have a really great pallete called the 88 palette that has about all the colors you'll need, which is a great addition to your makeup collection when your first starting out, it's cheap and has great quality
