I don't do hair... but I'd say you could get some at Sally's or something.. I've seen them at the BSO, Beauty Supply Outlet.

Shears are really a personal preference. Sally's does have a nice selection and so do most beauty supply stores. The balance, weight and composition of a shear may vary from one manufacturer to another, so I don't know how important it would be to find a particular "brand". When I went to coz school and subsequently worked in a salon, each hair dresser had shears from different supply stores/manufacturers. No matter what type you end up getting, be sure to take good care of them and have them sharpened regularly.

My friend gets her scissors sharpened by a man that comes by her salon on a monthly basis... try asking a beauty school near you for any references or your local salon...? I do know there are people that offer those kind of services though... not so much help, but good luck!
