Revlon Lip Butter

So due to the recent hype of Revlon lip butters, i decided to grab 3 today at target. i've watched a few videos, read blogs, etc and came to the conclusion that it looks like a product i'd love.

Sad to say, they aren't as moisturizing as everyone lets them up to be. i felt like i needed to apply a base of balm before the lip butter. they aren't bad and i'll probably pick up more because i like the sheer wash of color (lipsticks are too high maintenance and glosses aren't always practical) but i wouldn't slap the label of holy grail onto them anytime soon!

What do you guys think? Have you tried them?

I picked up some last night and I really love them too. But I applied one this morning and now 4 hours later all the color is gone and I'll need to reapply it.

I picked up the only 4 colors I wanted out of the collection. Gumdrop (a pinky purple), Creme Brulee (a nude), Cupcake (a bubblegum pink), and Red Velvet ( the most gorgeous red!). I've been wearing them a lot, however, I wore Red Velvet, the most pigmented one of my picks, to go out one night. I did use a lip liner & primer.. howevvver before my night even started I went to Sephora to pick up a few things & by the time I was done shopping most of the color had worn off & my lips were a little dry. :( Before I even went downtown for the night! Bummed. Guess it's a butter you have to keep in your bag & apply all night. Still love them though!

I have 5 so far. creme brulee, pink truffle, tutti frutti, fig jam, and gumdrop. I love them. I am not a lipstick person generally so this is a nice alternative to gloss.

Now that I know that they are lacking in staying power and slightly dry then I will have to pass on this one...with cooler and dryer temps the last thing I need are dry, cracked lips. ;(

I bought one yesterday in the color Cotton Candy... yes its a cute color but it was more of a sheer lip gloss then a lipstick. Not worth the $8. If they go on sale then I will try the others ones.

I love mine! :) I have it in raspberry pie and I am going to go back and buy more! BUT it is only moisturizing if you apply alot...to me it is in between the consistency of a lip balm and a lipstick. I love the matte finish on mine though! :)
