I never use to get body acne bad, until I moved in with my fiance. He's kind of an oily dude. I always sleep in a t-shirt and wash my body with an anti-acne body wash, and I had even been using benzoyl peroxide spot treatment but I can't seem to get it to just CLEAR UP! or the spots from old pimples to go away.

Any advice?

If Benzoyl Peroxide isn't working, you can always try a sulfur spot treatment. Murad carries one and Proactiv's Refining Mask is sulfur-based and can be used as a spot treatment.

Also take a look at what you're eating. Has your diet changed since you've moved in together? That could be contributing to it.

And since you mentioned he's an oily guy, make sure you wash your bed linens once a week. Hope this all helps!

My last bf broke me out terribly too, face and body. African Black Soap helped my back and body skin to get deep cleaned, and I made sure to moisturizer with a heavier moisturizer at night. If you can, try sleeping in a long sleeved shirt. I agree with washing your sheets and such often, and also try getting him to use a body wash that will help with overproduction of oil glands. Origins Skin Diver is a good one for manly men; it's black, doesn't smell offensive, and helps with the oiliness.

Bacteria could be the culprit but don't forget about allergens. Sometimes allergic reactions can look like Acne! Do you guys wash your sheets with a different detergent from what you used at home? Are you using a new lotion? Eating new foods? If the anti-acne products aren't clearing you up and you don't want to go see your Derm you could try a process of elimination to see if allergies are to blame. Take away one thing at a time for two weeks (a lotion, soap, detergent, etc) and see if you can't get it to clear up. Or just you could even take an anti-allergen like benadryl to see if your spots subside. If they do- then it was a rash- not acne!
