When you create makeup looks, where do you find inspiration? For me, when I'm not in a rush, I find inspiration in the seasons, my favorite books, art, music, etc. I don't often redo makeup looks others do simply because I like to explore myself, but I do think there's a lot that can be learned by playing around with others' looks :)

What about you? Where do you find inspiration for your makeup looks?

Mine would have to be from everyday people. I see looks on the street then take the idea and tweak it to fit my style and personality. Plus talking about how someone achieved a certain look is an awesome icebreaker!  :)

Alot of my inspirations come from magazines, youtube, anf celebs. I like to take a look and make it wearable for me. Not everything works for everyone i've learned but out of trying it, you can find a new look for yourself.

i love drawing colors from nature or paterns i might see on clothes

I never really copy youtube videos, I like to create something that is "my own"... but sometimes someones colour combo's inspire me. Normally I just get random makeup ideas that pop up into my head and I just try and re-create what I envisioned.

DJ M I'm pretty much the same as you. Books, movies etc.

I'll see something I like & then will take on a different version of the look, making it my own.

Sometimes an idea will just 'pop' into my head & it turns out pretty good.

anything that caught my eye during the day, or at some moment...
can be realtively anything, the most important thing is to express what you want, without worrying about what others might be thinking.
