A really great resource to see what many industry professionals use is : www.inmykit.com
I've found so many of my favorite products on there, and they have both cost-effective and high-end options to choose from. Hope that helps!

I second inmykit.com, great website. But, the products that I use on a client are going to be specific to that client (assuming I have them available). Not everyone will benefit from the same moisturizer, primer and foundation. Things need to be tweaked to meet the client's needs

Most of the time this is what I do:
I start with Embriolisse Lait Creme Concentrate on dry skin or I blot the skin with oil-absorbing sheets on oily skin.
On dry skin I will use Cinema Secrets Face Primer
One Someone with good skin I will use small amounts of Graftobian HD foundation or Cineam Secrets Ultimate Foundation and blend it out, or I will use Illamasqua Skin base and really buff into the skin with a stippling brush.
On skin that needs more coverage I will use more CS Ult Foundation or Graftobian HD on parts that need more coverage.
