I find that my boyfriend's opinion has a huge influence on what looks I wear. Of course, I wear make up for myself, but I can't help but to buy/wear things that my boyfriend likes for nights out with him that I know he'll appreciate<3
Does he even pay attention? Does he notice? I love knowing the opposite sex's opinion. XD
My BF loves diamond/glitter lipglosses & purple dark smokey looks. Actually, just smokey looks in general. I JUST found out he doesn't like pink blush, but like when I have "that brown stuff on" bc it looks "natural" (aka - my bronzer/countouring shades) lol

my boyfriend actually loves when i don't wear makeup lol. but he likes when i do really natural looks. if i have crazy makeup on, he doesn't really like it. but he'll compliment it still, like he'll say it looks really cool and like a pro did it. lol he's really great about it though! my boyfriend notices everything, new clothes, new jewelry. haha i love it! and i know what you mean about wearing what he likes. when my boyfriend and i first started dating, and i knew his favorite color was teal and green, i would wear greens/teals/blues for my eye shadow on our date nights.:)

I feel like men most compliment women on makeup when they look fresh-faced and natural looking. Glowing skin is what usually gets a man complimenting me on the makeup I wear.

My boyfriend pretty much loves everything I wear lol :) however, I typically go for a very natural look with my makeup so he really notices & loves it when I go darker w/my makeup - especially eye makeup! He looooves the look of lots of eyeliner and dark eye makeup. unfortunately for him, I do not like to rock that look often b/c it's not really me, if you know what I mean. but its definitely fun to go darker and bolder w/my makeup if we are going out downtown or on a date.

He usually likes smokey eyes w/ a neutral lip. He's not such a fan of bright bold lips... he's colorblind, so I try not to confuse him too much with anything too crazy. [So boring!] - but he's my guy... even though he's kinda' broken. =P

my husband loves when i do smoky eyes for nights out anywhere but also loves just natural simple makeup for everyday looks- i always thought men didnt notice anything but I gotta say-my hubby notices EVERYTHING! good and bad both lol....anytime i try a new look he notices and lets me know if he likes it :)

Something about smokey eyes that men just go gaga over.
My man's actually really into high fashion so really appreciates my makeup, especially when it goes with whatever look I'm pulling off. I appreciate him for appreciating it...which makes me ultra excited to get done up for myself AND for him. It's like a double whammy. He does, however, like it best when I'm wearing nothing (on my face, that is). ;)

My fiance seems to really think my makeup is cool if it matches my outfit in someway like if im wearing green and then i have green on my eyes somewhere he thinks it is cool and awesome looking. It's cute, then if my lips are tasty, im just now starting to play with diffrent lip shades so idk what he thinks yet.

^ Your fiance doesn't mind kissing lip-glossed lips?! You're lucky! My bf will kiss me & say "Blech, sticky lips" & wont kiss me till after its worn off. I don't wear lip products unless we're having a night out, but still. :( hahaha
If I'm lucky SOMETIMES he'll ignore it. XD

My bf is not a particularly huge fan of highly pigmented lip colors, not because of the way they look, but because he does not want it on him. Other than that he sees makeup like I do. He thinks that there is a time and place for everything. He likes crazy looks when I have an outfit that needs it, or I am getting dressed up for something, but loves me without it too.
He is kinda win like that!!! <3

^ Mine HATED red lips until I informed him that not all red lip colors are "hooker lipsticks" (as he says it)
I've showed him the different undertones & shades & convinced him that a dark, dark red lip color would look good on me. He saw it on me & agreed! Try doing that. haha

my bf always says he would rather i don't wear makeup at all but he still likes most of the looks that I do. He loves bronze and copper looks but his all time favorite is anything that involves the color purple on my eyes lol He still hasnt come around to lipstick yet and I really wanna try it....

My boyfriends and male friends have mostly been very clear that they don't like makeup at all, so I usually wear nude looking looks. I have a theory that a lot of men think makeup is fake, so they like it when a woman is showing her "true face." But my boyfriend last year was really into crazy and artsy looks, so I could have fun and he appreciated it. :)

I wear neutral colors mostly everyday, which he likes but when I go out of the box and wear other darker colors he'll complement it because he likes the switch up. He doesn't know much about makeup, but if I always know if a moisturizer is working well for me because he'll comment on how soft my arm or something feels. And if I switch face makeup and it looks good he'll say something like "your face looks different" haha

I agree with Mandy K - I feel like most guys say they like 'natural' make up just because they don't really know much about makeup in general. It took a while for my boyfriend to admit he likes it when I wear dramatic eye make up just because he thought a smokey eye meant "All Black, lots of black & black everywhere!" haha

My husband likes when I use bright colors. Pretty much anything that isn't neutral. It's not that he doesn't like the natural look. He said he's so use to seeing me use multi colors and do out of the box stuff when I use neutral colors it like where's all the color & creativity? lol

Haha Andrea, that's too funny about the lots of black everywhere. I know based on the fact that I'm a makeup artists and I posts videos on youtube, most of my guy friends had no idea about makeup until I started informing them. They didn't believe that you can wear as much makeup as I do and still have it not look lie there's much. I think that when you talk to a boyfriend/husband about makeup, he automatically doesn't want much because he envisions too much.

My boyfriend compliments me when I have a fresh-faced look on for everyday: just enough foundation/concealer to even out my skin, a light wash of eye shadow just for dimension, mascara, the tiniest amount of blusher/bronzer, and lip balm. For nights out, I've noticed that he likes a simple smokey eye. The main no-no's are lip gloss and dark brows. He's okay with lipstick, but prefers lip-balm so that he can kiss me, haha.

and he thinks red lips are hot to look at.
