I'm looking for the perfect red lipstick with a matte finish for a big event thats going down in 2 weeks. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking about going to MAC to pick up Ruby Woo but something cheaper would be cool too.

Makeup Forever's Moulin Rouge lipstick... Or Sephora's "R04 - The Red" lipstick is beautiful and only $12.

I like Russian Red by MAC, or any of the KAT Von D ones are good too

I definitely agree with Jen. OCC has a bunch of different reds too, and all are semi-matte and last for ages. It isn't much cheaper than MAC (maybe a few dollars less than MAC) but the tube will last you for a really long time since you only need a drop of the lip tar to cover your mouth.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm definitely willing to try OCC lip tars but ordering things online are sort of a problem for me. I plan on trying it out in the future. I will try looking at Sephora for the Kat Von D lipsticks and even the Sephora brand lipstick.
