I went to hot topic today to pick up this cute floral hair bow which was right by the make up and nail polish they have....and i was mesmorized by the color of some of the eye shadows but was to afraid to purchase any......so have any of you tried the hot topic brand? What do you think?
ALSO, they have NYX! It was only one palette and just pure glitter but I was sooo suprised

I have been dying to try their cosmetics! But you can't really find any good reviews online and I too am afraid to purchase any. But my friend purchased one of their polishes - it was a neon green - and it was super thin and watery, a gorgeous color but horrible consistancy. But it could just be that shade. If you ever do purchase any, let us know if its any good!

I've only ever bout a palette of what I thought were glittery eyeshadows, but it turned out they were cream eyeshadows, and the glitter was only on the top layer. I was disappointed.

@ Arie: I think most glitter palettes are like that. I know the one from Claires is, the ones from NYX are as well. Very disapointing because glitter is amazing!

Are you talking about their eyeshadows that they have in palettes or individual ones? I bought a couple palettes from them a few years ago that had five eyeshadows in each and they were actually pretty decent. I also bought a few duos there that I liked except for the shades that had glitter in them (they didn't apply well in my opinion). I'd be happy to do a review on them if you want (including swatches/pictures) I just don't know if they are the ones that they're selling there now though.

Yeahhh I saw the glitter palette and i wanted it but it was too glittery if i knew that it was just the top i would of picked it up i might still lol.
@shannon yeah im talking about the individual ones they have single shadows, it has just a shimmer to it but not glittery.

Oh alright. Yeah sorry I can't really help you there, but I found some reviews on YouTube and there are some online. You could probably just Google "Hot Topic Makeup Review" and find a few links to videos or blogs.

The individual hot topic eye shadows are pretty great, get some. At $3 each what have you to lose anyway? Just get one and see if you like it, I have 4 or 5 of them and I think their pigment is pretty good, no joke. Don't buy cheap palettes from stores like that PERIOD, but the individual ones I really like. I also really like their nail polishes because they are the absolute fastest drying nail polishes I own.

I bought a palette from there last year because it was on clearance and I was curious to see how their make up was. It's not the worst, but you would be better off buying a high quality palette. They aren't very pigmented at all, and take me about 3-5 swipes to get a decent amount of color.
Although, I bought a sparkly mini palette (4 colors) from there too and they had tons of pigment to it! I still use it every once in a while.
The individual shadows and nail polish is awesome too (the nail polish glows under blacklights :D ) - just don't buy their big palettes! :)

I bought and eyeliner from there a year or so ago and was pleasantly surprised. I really liked it and I used it til it was gone! Didn't smudge or fade :)

I've wanted to try the eyeshadows for years and the next time i'm near a Hot Topic I will definitely try some but I have tried their red eyeliner and it's amazing!! Their nail polish is also really good!! I have a few of those. Very Pretty!
