So I'm starting to stray away from my trusty e.l.f liquid eyeliner. I wanted to know what you guys think is the best gel or cream eyeliner. I was going to get e.l.f but then I heard bad things about it. So can you help me out?

I don't know what you heard about the e.l.f. gel liner but I love that one it glides on smoothly and lasts a long time. If you still don't want to try that one I heard the L'Oreal Hip gel liner works good. Hope this helped!

Wet N Wild has a nice gel liner, and it's $4 - $5! It stays put really well, even in the water line. :)

thank you for the quick replies. Yes I heard the elf either dries up quickly in the pot or it just doesn't stay on that well, primer or not.
@ Indya and Andrew. I think I might get the loreal and the Bobbi Brown, just so I can sample from drugstore and higher end.
Thanks!

Yeah the e.l.f. ones are cheaper and I really like them you should try!:) and if you don't like it, it wont be a complete waste of money!

I like MAC fluidline works for me since oddly enough where I live L'oreal Hip is $12.99, it seems where I live the drug store stuff is getting more expensive than it was 10 years ago.

I disagree with Andrew about the e.l.f. cream liner. I think it *is* good for the price.

I have been using the Clinique gel liner for awhile now and its great. Goes on smooth and does not dry out like some gel liners. I also have a smashbox one that works great too, it has glitter in it so its something im not going to use to tightline with but as an eyelid liner its nice!

It's hard for me to use anything BUT gel eyeliner! My favorites are mac's and bobbi brown's

I really love the MAC blacktrack fluidline, but a good dupe for that is the Maybelline Eye Studio gel liner in blackest black. Cheaper alternative, relatively the same consistency, and both are very pigmented and creamy.

I have tried both the L'Oreal HIP liner and the Bobbi Brown liner and they are both pretty good, though I definitely prefer the Bobbi Brown. It is smoother, blacker, does not dry out as quickly, and does not flake as much.. but if you're tight on money, the L'Oreal is not so bad.

I personally am in love with Inglot's Matte Gel Liners. I think they're amazing and the color selection to pigmentation is fantastic.

I like Inglot's liner but weirdly enough mine has a large crack in it despite still being creamy

I also think that Clinique's liner is amazing. I've had mine for about half a year and it is still creamy in the pot. It's cream liner though, not a gel (though I haven't tried gel liners yet so I don't really know the difference lol).
I have an ELF purple cream liner and it is creamy and stays on for a long time on me. But I guess it depends on the person/how oily their lids are/etc. I have oily lids, but when I apply a primer, the ELF liner stays on for a really long time for me.
