Hey guys! my little sister is 13 and she wears makeup like foundation, mascara small bit of blush and sometimes eyeshadow!! I'm shocked and tell her not to but she's says its normal!! I only started wearing it last year and I'm 16? your opinions?

13 is too young for bold and bright makeup like yellow, blue, orange, ect., but I think using it to cover up acne, or soft and natural eyeshadow and blush shades aren't too bad. As long as she doesn't lay on too much and uses soft colors I think it's not too bad.

I'm 14 and I wear foundation, liquid eyeliner and mascara. When I was 13 I was wearing mascara and lip gloss if this helps haha.

Yes a lot of her friends do but to be very honest she is probably the only one who wears it natural enough! all her friends wayy over do it and I fell sorry for her because she wants to fit in :) thanks for the comments!

Yeah, I don't wear foundation or blush (I have a pretty natural red tint to my cheeks :3) but I wear BB cream, powder, eyeshadow, mascara, and a tinted lip moisturizer. So, it's okay for her to wear makeup at 13. I'm also 13 (:

I'm 11 and I wear everything except for eyeshadow and blush instead of using foundation use concealer to cover up dark circles or acne and use mascara to brighten your eyes.

Well, it's personal preference. I would say it's ok- as long as you don't go reallyyy crazy with colors, contouring etc. I'm 13 and I don't even wear make up ( Even though I love it ) I only wear mascara and lip balm but barely.

A little mascara, lip gloss, and maybe MAYBE natural colored eyeshadow. My concern wouldn't really wouldn't for her and the fact she's wearing it, but how men are looking at her. With young girls wearing makeup that's my main concern.

When I am in sixth grade and I am only person who have acne so I wear little make up to cover them, same with seventh grade now I only wear fountain and power that all sometime I wear mascara if my eye seem small and sometime I wear little tan cream for eyeshadow.

Well said, Pria. Whether they have perfect skin or not, they should really be sparing their skin from those chemicals. Generally girls at those ages are fragile when it comes to peer pressure and self worth, so it's easy for them to become dependant on makeup to help make them feel pretty or important. I wish we could warn them that growing up isn't nearly as great as it looks...

It's her face, I don't see the problem with it. I wore makeup when I was 13. I didnt wear foundation because my skin was much better then than it is now, but if it makes her confident and happy then she should! :)

I personaly think its to young. If I had a daughter I wouldnt want her wearing it outside like school ect. 13 year olds really don't need foundation even if they have acne and especially when they don't why cover up that radient skin you have when your young. When I was younger I thought it was fine but your opinion changes as you get older.

When I was 13 I didn't wear any make up. I mean your just 13, you don't have to paint your face!! My mom gave me my first make up box with 14 then I started to use brown mascara and some glitter. I think when your so young, you should be all natural

I started wearing mascara when I was 14, but I only started wearing foundation when I was like 15-16, and I still only wear it when I need it and I'm 17. I don't think wearing foundation at such a young age is such a good idea because it really isn't good for your skin so when you are older you might regret it... But if your parents are okay with it then knock yourself out xD.

Wheb I was 13 all I wore was eyeliner and bright eyeshadows. sometimes lip gloss. I don't remember when, but when I started getting bad acne I would use concealer. that might have been 13 or 14.
