When I had long hair I would scrunch then use a curling iron and do some loose curls all over just just make it look a little more presentable. I feel like with scrunching it can look a bit of a mess

It's fine as long as it looks like natural loose waves. Some ladies scrunch it with gel and it looks a bit like straw curls.

I do it. my hair is naturally curly/wavy. then I pin under my back lengths so it looks like a cute bob.
