I love my hair. Unfortunately for me I have some trouble maintaining its unruly ways.
My hair hasn't been treated or to a salon in about 3 1/2 years. Iwas adopted an well lets face it, back in 1990 white folks had no idea how to handle my hair so relaxers it was until high school.
My textures run from: the back tight corkscrews, sides wavey, the front wavey/straight. As for my crown, well it's a jungle. it's part tight curls and part waves.
I'm definitely trying to find an easier way to keep from losinv the moisture in my hair as well as having it tangle free.
I wear my hair up a lot considering it's always hot and humid in Florida. Which is probably why my hair gets so knotted at the crown. Within two days of my hair being up you would think that I am trying to dread my hair.
I'm at my witts end!! :(

Hey lovely loosely braid it at night... Not tight because that's not good... But a lose one and it won't be tangled when you wake up.. I promise
You should really treat your hair.. Hopefully you trimming your ends because it can damage your hair a lot

Thank you for the advice. My hair is actually layered due to an awful mullet experience when I was younger and vowed to never cut my hair again. :/ What's the easiest way to trim your own hair?

I have used an aragan oil mask in my hair a few times and it came out wonderful but I uses up A LOT. My hair drinks up moisture like it's nobodies business. I mostly use Shea Butter then seal that wish some gel but my hair still feels dry and brittle. Bu thank you for the advice, I may go back to the aragan oils and try that for a bit.

Ahhh don't gel your hair hun!! That's going to suck out moisture!! Do a deep conditioner once or twice a weel with unrefined coconut oil and try to detangle your hair every night (while dry ONLY), sprits it with water, add a small amount of conditioner to lock in style and do a few sections in loose braids. When you wake up in the mornings take them out and separate the coils with your fingers for a loose curls!! Your hair is perfect for that and will look so cute on you!! Not to mention all of those things will start to restore the damaged hair from the past!! Once you are comfortable in know your hairs health is doing better get a very very little trimmed (as I know it can be scary if your hair doesn't grow fast). It really will start growing back!! Worst myth ever fact: African American women cannot grow they're hair!! Hope this helps and if you end up trying it and loving the look of the curls I would love to see a pic!!:)
