I wash my hair everyday, but somebody recently told me that this dries my my hair up. But if I don't wash it, the next day it looks greasy from the top , not the ends. should I just continue washing my hair everyday or try something else?

Washing your hair everyday is damaging. Maybe try a dry shampoo if your hair is oily on days you don't want to wash

My stylist said that if your hair is used to it then it's fine. I have super thick hair that absorbs odors easily...I can't stand the thought of not washing my hair everyday!

Well maybe you culd try a different shampoo so that it isn't greasy when you don't wash it. But it does take the natural oils out of your hair when you wash if every day and it can start looking frizzy. But if yours hasn't and its working fr you, then I think its fine

It damages your hair. I'm the same, my hair gets oily from the top if I don't wash it. Dry shampoo helps also if you stop playing with your hair a lot cause when I keep running my fingers through my hair to fix it, I find it gets more oily so I try not to do that a lot 😁

I use baby powder just in my roots if my hair looks dirty just move it around until you don't see the white powder anymore.

It's supposed to dry your hair out, but it all depends on your hair. If your hair IS dry then I would suggest switching things up. Switch to a less heavy duty shampoo. Make sure the shampoo doesn't have sulfates (it's basically a cheap chemical many shampoos have that cleans your hair, but dries your hair out quite badly). Dry shampoo works quite well too. You can always use baby powder but personally I hate the smell.

There's a video on YouTube (I forget the girls channel) but she basically explained her haircare routine, and she said if you have to wash your hair everyday, to put conditioner on the ends before you get into the shower...it protects the ends from getting dry and damaged and you're still able to wash off the oilyness :)
