Almost anything you have to go out in the sun for it to work. I have John Freida's Sheer Blonde and it gradually lightens your hair. It's all natural products.

Honey! if you apply honey to your hair and stand under the sun it lightens your hair a lot, my natural hair color is a deep red/ auburn color and I use to put honey on my ends in high school and it worked really well and fast.

Ignore the highlights bit. My friend tried it and it gradually lightened all of her hair! :)
