So I've finally decided to start wearing makeup after 30 years and I bought Mac studio fix powder/foundation. Used it for the past 2 days and I broke out like I'm 14 years old again! Has this happened to anyone?!?! What other brands gives good coverage like Mac? So sad now:(

Well if you haven't worn makeup for a long time it probably wasn't good to start with macs studio fix because that is really heavy type of foundation and your skin isn't used to that. Maybe try something with less coverage. Idk but maybe.

You should try bb-cream for now,but as your skin gets used to have make-up you could try to move for heavier foundations (: (sorry my bad english XD)

I found that my skin improved after switching to studio fix, but I asked a professional to recommend a foundation based on my skin type so I'd maybe go and see someone about it? :) good luck! xx

Studio fix isn't meant to be worn daily, it was developed for film. It's really think and heavy for normal everyday use. Try something like a tinted moisturizer or bb cream.

Okay thanks ladies! I tried bare minerals today and it made me look like a Barbie doll. It's way to noticeable and I was just wanted little coverage.

Mac is notorious for msking ppl break out so maybe its some ingredient they use... bb creams are great I recommend dr. jatrs black box bb cream its actually a med coverage but can be buildable and has great soothing ingredients and has not broke me out and I'm prone to acne. you can get it at sephora or online. if you need something that's darker if the bb cream doesn't work I also recommend Urban Decay Naked foundation, its lighter and dewy and beautiful and a good shade range.
