Is what your using an exfoliator? Exfoliators are used to remove dead skin cells. :) Why don't you try a better cleaner? Clean & Clear has some great foaming soaps. :) And if you really want to,
you can also try the Clarisonic. They're a bit expensive, but you can look into it if you want to! They work wonderfully. :)

Buy a makeup remover. There are so many options at the drugstore. Also, only exfoliate your skin once or twice a week. Use a cleanser for your skin and then use a toner to remove anymore dirt and makeup and it will even out the ph level in your skin so that you won't get breakouts, then finish with a moisturizer.

You should only scrub few days a week not everyday, excessive scrubing can actually make breakouts even worst and cause irritation. The Clarisonic is a great investment but if you can't get hold of one now you can use other methods. Try and take all your makeup off before you wash your face, use a cotton wool and makeup remover, I personally use baby oil, it takes everything off. Then wash your face with a cleanser or face soap and make sure you moisturize :). Also steam your face everyother week to open your pours and get rid of all the clogging you get from makeup.

A toner is very good for your skin, you should start using one. By just using a makeup removing and cleansing and then washing off with water interrupts the ph levels of your skin. For example if you have oily skin, you can use a toner to help reduce the oil in your skin and it also helps remove more dirt and bacteria from your face. I recommend Simple Skincare's toner. It's cheap and very gentle on your skin.

Always double-cleanse:
First, use oil-based cleanser (MAC cleanse-off oil, Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil). Use on dry hands and face. Emulsify with water.
Then, cleanse your face again with your normal cleanser. This will makesure that all of the makeup will be taken off, along with other impurities.
And it is not advisable to use scrub everyday (esp the one that have big, hard granules), as it tends to dry our the skin and going to be too harsh for your skin. For dry skin, it OK for once a week scrub routine, for oily skinned peeps, it's fine for twice a week scrub routines.

The Aveeno scrub is fine. The problem lies in if it's getting off all of your makeup, which isn't the main focus of a scrub. I'd say use some olive oil or coconut oil to rub off your makeup. You don't need that much of it. Use the oil, and then the scrub. And the oil won't give you breakouts. :)

I really think you should invest in a makeup remover. If you are using your cleanser to remove your makeup it's not properly able to do its job ( cleaning you skin ) and you are left with sort of clean skin and break outs are bound to happen. Homie this helped!! :)))

You can buy an oil free toner if you want. You might have combination skin so any toner should be fine for you.
