How do you know what shade of concealer to get? I have heard that if you test on your had you won't get a accurate result because your face could be lighter/darker than your hand. And what drugstore concealer is best?

Hard Candy Glamoflauge or Revlon Photoready. Concealer should be 1-2 Shades lighter than your foundation/bb cream/ tinted moisturizer.

It depends on where you are putting the concealer. You don't want to have a lighter concealer on top of a pimple, it would highlight it and make it more noticeable.
Under eyes= lighter concealer
Anywhere else needs a concealer that matches your skin tone.
