Okay so I'm going to a pool party next weekend and I have contacts but I'm planning on swimming so are you allowed to swim with contacts?

You definitely can I do all the time just don't open your eyes underwater.

You can swim with them but if you open your eyes they may mess up. Same if you get water splashed in your face. I wear contacts and I find the easier to wear when swimming because with glasses you always see spots or are constantly cleaning them.

Be very careful with contacts in while swimming, there is most likely chlorine in the pool and it could cause eye infections, don't open your eyes underwater, the water could also wash them out. Wearing goggles over them could work? (:

My eye doctor told me to NEVER wear my contacts at the pool. she said that if chlorine gets on the contacts, it will break apart in the eye and it is very painful. I wouldnt risk it.

No don't wear them at the pool because it will be hard not letting water enter your eyes.

I have before, but I don't go underwater with them. If you're going to be going underwater or putting your face in the water at all, I'd go without them.
