I returned the Bobbi Brown gel liner & swapped for a Stila Smudge Stick.
Well, when the sales associate handed it to me, the box was all smashed but I thought "Eh, it's just the box"... When I got home and opened it, the tip was already extended a good bit, and there was eyeliner all over the pencil down around the edge where the cap goes on. I was annoyed bc I got it all over my hands!
Well so fast forward to usage... I used it on Sunday and then I used it on Monday. Yesterday when I went to roll some more out, no matter which direction I roll the pen, no more will come out!
I can't figure out if I got a broken pen, or if it really was just good for 2 uses?
I am wary about returning it because when I was there to GET it, it was a trip I'd made to return something (Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner, bent angle brush, and Tarte Double-Ended Eye Brightener)... I don't want them to think I'm a habitual returner!

What's y'all's opinion? :(

In the first place, I wouldn't have accepted the box in that condition. I would've asked for a new one and checked it at the counter before leaving. But honestly, I would take it anyway to exchange. liner is not supposed to last so little. if you ask nicely and have the receipt I don't think you'll have any problems. but remember, check it out before you leave. hope this helps. good luck!!

Go back... who cares what they think. if youre going to pay 20$ for liner it better be good. tell them you bought a broken box and it was even broken inside.

Definitely return it! I doubt they'll even think twice about it. People return stuff all the time! :)

Definitely take it back and exchange it for a new one. I recently purchased some new cover up at the drugstore. I got home and realized I had got the wrong shade so I took it back to the store a couple days later and exchanged it for the correct color I needed. I used it for about two days and it broke. It no longer produced product into the brush like it was supposed to. I had to go back to the store again and exchange it one more time for one that worked. They had no problem exchanging it, no questions. Hope that makes you feel better about taking it back...lol You're not alone, it happens to everyone.

I just felt like I got such a cold shoulder when I went to return those 2 items before... I gave my "why this doesn't work for me" and even injected a little humor and got NO positivity or "oh I understand", not even a giggle... It was so uncomfortable!
I am thinking maybe try the other sephora and maybe they will have nicer people there. Sad bc I really like the one at NorthPark, I have usually had great experiences there!

Well hopefully you'll have better customer service at another Sephora. That sucks, I know exactly what you're talking about. I've had the same experience where I feel they're looking down there nose at me because a product didn't work out for me. They act like the money came right out of their pocket. lol Don't think twice about them. Some of them are so self absorbed they won't remember you a day later anyways. Lol.
