I have hooded eyes from my dads side which I'm very self conscious about. In pictures I have to raise my eyebrows to make my eyes look nicer and make me not look so mad. I've been thinking about surgery and wanted to know If anyone on here had done it! Thanks.

Is that you in your profile pic?

I have the same problem. before you get surgery just find a good way to do your makeup. some makeup styles can help hide it.

Raised eye brows or no raised brows, you are a traditionally attractive person.

I mean, if you have a lot of money and it won't put a financial burden on you, you're doing it for yourself, and you believe it will make you truly happy, I'm not saying you shouldn't. But it's almost a waste because you look like you're already in the upper echelon of women. (Also, I've never heard anyone talk about someone else's hooded eyes negatively, or at all)

It might be just myself being silly but I don't know. My boyfriend had this huge round eyes and I remember looking into them and wanting that. You're beautiful too, by the way!

If you don't want the commitment of surgery just yet, I'd suggest experimenting with eyelid glue or eyelid tape. Michelle Phan has a wonderful video about how she used those to train her eyelids to have a higher crease naturally :)

Thanks! I hope you become at peace with your eyelids!

I have hooded eyelids too and it does suck but in the scheme of things I'm happy with the rest of my face and find makeup helps especially fake eyelashes to lift the eyes. Olivia Wilde has hooded eyelids and she's gorgeous. Trust me the only person that notices it would be you and people that are really into makeup because I've brought it up to people and they're like wtf is a hooded eyelid. You could also try dermal fillers underneath your brows to fill the area before you embark on surgery I'd say do that once your eyelids are resting in your eyelashes which is what happens in my family around the age of 50 good luck xx
