What exactly is BB cream? I use the Maybelline one and I actually have no clue what it is. I use it instead of foundation because I like the glow it gives my face. What drug store foundation would you reccommend?

Beauty balm. It's like a tinted moisturizer but has more coverage perfect to replace your foundation for doing and summer I recommend the maybelline dream bb cream if you end up trying one.

I've tried Maybelline, Physicians Formula, Too Faced, Urban Decay, Garnier, L'Oreal, and Skin79 bb creams... in my opinion the L'Oreal and Skin79 are the best. Garnier, Maybelline, and Too Faced were too oily... Urban Decay had NO COVERAGE (I know that bb creams are sheer coverage but... wow, there was NONE). Physicians Formula was alright. I loved the L'Oreal and Skin79! Whew sorry about the long post, lol. Hope this helps! xoxo.

Blemish balm or beauty balm. It's suppose to work for many different things such as acne prevention, moisturizer, tinted moisturizer, SPF, etc. the American versions aren't the best but I think sephora sells a few good ones.

Bb Cream was originally manufactured as an alternative to foundation in Germany for people who had undergone laser treatments or anything that would make their face sensitive.
Asia adopted them because Asia loves skincare. The West adopted them after that because that's what we do :)
Western BB Creams are basically tinted moisturizers, with sheer coverage and little to no skincare benefits. Asian BB Creams have higher coverage and a large focus on skin care such as whitening and oil control.
Hope this helps!

Isnt there a way to search the threads to find an answer to a question that has been asked a million times on here?? I'm annoyed at how many times I have seen this exact thread appear posted by different people. Ugh.
