Semipermanents don't harm your hair, which I know manic panic is. I've never used the other 2. manic panic is very easy to use and the longer you leave it and if you add heat the longer it will last. I usually leave mine 30 min and it lasts about 2 months.

Go with fudge paintbox, it gives the best colours and you can mix them to get a totally different colour.

Special Effects! It's definitely the longest lasting semi-permanent dye I've ever used. Every color I've used by that brand has stayed vibrant for weeks. I most recently used their Napalm Orange and it's been about two months and the color is still as bright as ever.

As far as I know, none of them will damage your hair and they're all just about the same when it comes to how easy they are to use. But in my experience, none of the others compare to Special Effects.

Like Ezarra G. said, I hear nothing but good things about Pravana but I haven't tried it.

I work at Sally's and the manic panic faded waaaay faster than the Ion semi. I didn't have a problem with it bleeding. I put foil over the color and did the dip dye look. It actually lasted for months my only problems was getting it to come out lol!! You do have to bleach your hair first for the semi colors to stand out.
