It should be fine to remove as long as its not bleeding. wash it carefully with antibacterial soap (dial is a great one) and put some A and D ointment on it and you're good to go!

Are you allowed to show tattoos at work? If not I'd leave the covering on. Where is your tattoo located?

If you're going to leave it on I would suggest washing it and putting ointment on it before covering it back up. but yes good idea since you'll have jeans rubbing on it.

My tattoo artist cleaned it before he put it on 2 hrs ago. Think it should be fine?

But it's still exposed, cleaning it again and covering it is the best.

I would still wash it and treat it again. Putting the bandage on for work isn't ideal, but it won't harm your tattoo. Just make sure to let it breath as often as you can.

Just let it breathe. Don't put anything on it. Not til like tomorrow then put unscented lotion.

My hubbys besrfriend is a tat artist.. an if you just got it today you should not wash it with soap until its healed or it will fade.. and its ok to take the plastic off.. just put vaseline or a+d cream an your good to go..don't scratch if it itches lol.. I know I'm late but..hope it helps

A and D and all those supposed tattoo care creams are actually what makes the ink rise up to the surface. I agree don't wash with soap til the next day.

Washing it will not fade your tattoo. and you don't want to use unscented lotion until 3 or 4 days after you initially got it. BUT don't take my advice or anyone else's...what your tattoo artist told you is the way to go. If you have further questions just call up the shop you went to(:

Lol you're meant to take it off and give it a gentle wash when you get home to give it time to breathe.
Try putting a loose bandage over it if you're working and don't wear anything tight over it.

And you're meant to put cream on it when it gets dry so it doesn't scab like crazy and rub off. Bepathen ointment is best to use for that.

Don't wash it with soap what ever you do put insecented lotion on it or some aquaphor (I think that's how its spelled). I've never once washed my tattoo with any kind of soap until it was healed I only let the warm water run over it and all of mine turned out fine!

Also I never bandaged any of mine either
