Hi I'm about to go to sephora and stalk up on make up and I want to know which is best? NARS, smashbox, or what? Please help I want to have a great makeup set.

Different brands have different good products! It will take trial and error. Try to get the fundamentals first then build your collection.

It's all based on personal preference. Some brands are better then others at certain things. I love my Naked Palette and Primer Potion from Urban Decay, but I also love MAC Lipsticks. Makeup Forever has great foundation in my opinion but Tarte has really good blush (I haven't tried NARS yet). Costal Scents is a small online company but I honestly prefer their palette to my MAC shadows sometimes, Too Faced has really nice palettes as well. Some people love brand name moisturizer like MAC but I just use plain 'ol raw shea butter. It's a personal thing and trial and error.

MAC isn't cruelty free so I don't suggest that. I agree with Erin though, it's based on personal preference.

Get a variety of different things! Urban decay has great eye products and makeup forever has excellent face products! Nars blushes and bronzes are good :)

All depends on your skin tone your desired finish and your skin type. I love Mac primer and foundation it matches my sling flawlessly but I use maybe line $4 eyeliner that's magnificent and I love the too faced eye shadow palettes and smash box powder and urban decay eyeshadow primer and Anastasia eyebrow filler. Haha so it all really depends what works best specifically for you. The good thing about sephora is you can take home and sample almost everything!

I tend not to stick with just ONE brand I have two favorites (StarLooks and MAC) but I will try anything that catches my eye. x
