Wash with brush shampoo then lay them flat to dry! You don't want water to run down into the handle.

I wash mine with baby shampoo and lay them out to dry at an angle with the handle slightly pointed up. That way the water drips down and away from the handle.

I use a lil dish soap with olive oil in it. Then hang them upside down to dry

I second what alondra said. put some dish soap with olive oil (half half) then dip your brush in it. try to take as much off on a paper towel or towel. then rinse. its the most inexpensive and clean way:)
