Soak fingertips in something that tastes bad so when you try to bite you'll be turned off, sit on your hands every time you're tempted (how I stopped), paint your nails, get stick on nails so its harder to bite, etc.Hope I helped! <3.

There is nail polish that specifically is for nail biters. It's disgusting to taste!

I read someone dissolved garlic cloves into her top coat and it helped her.

I've had this problem since I was a toddler. Not even the different types of bad tasting nail polish could get me to quit. I started just going to the nail salon and getting fake nails put on, then three weeks later I'd get the old ones off and some new ones on, and again. After three rounds, you see how long your nails have gotten and it makes it a lot harder to bite them, plus you haven't done it in 9 weeks so you don't really feel the need to anymore. Apply some nail hardening polish as they will be very sensitive.

It takes a few months to break a habit. I started chewing my nails at 3 years. and stopped last year at 20. I recommend painting nails with bright bold colours. This can be tricky as only certain ones worked for me (I used a deep blue it was fantastic when I used a bright yellow I was more prone to chewing). Make sure you keep up with your nails. It?s going to feel a little obsessive at first since it will be high maintenence but the more you pay attention, the more you?ll notice them, thus you won?t mindlessly bite them. Keep an emery board on you at all time in your puse. when you feel the urge to chew, say a corner developes or a piece is sticking out or the edges are rough, whip out the board and file em down a little. When you eventually graduate from bold colours, use clear polishes or clear strengthening polishes. Again, this will be after a few months and make sure that e.board is with you. I still keep one with me at all times and I?ve been free of the habit for over a year. Try your best to keep your hands away from your face and following the rest of my advice and using a little will power it will do the trick. It?s all mostly an unconcious habit, so try and pay attention. Good luck (:
