Welllllll what type of finish do you want? A bb cream is more lightweight easy to apply very quick and the majority of the time they're very sheer coverage that can be build able and a very dewy finish more lightweight for everyday.. However their sculpt foundation is very good coverage medium to full, the finish will be flawless and this will be a little heavier on your skin so sometimes people don't like to wear this during the day but I personally love foundation, ESP this one. It's also easiest to apply with the Mac stippling brush or real techniques expert face brush (this is what I use & it take less than a minute to apply my foundation every morning) also keep in mind of the climate you live in if you're looking for something for everyday like I live in Florida and on the really Hott days I won't use my bb cream because It just comes off too quick but that's just my opinion. So I guess you should choose what type of coverage you want and if you're looking for something for everyday wear& if you have any blemishes or imperfections to cover (I have a lot of redness so I have to apply two thin layers of my bb cream to get a good finish or go over any blemishes I have if that makes sense), also what type of finish you want- like more dewy and satiny with the bb cream or matte, flawless & satin finish for foundation. Does this help!?

Well the reason the studio sculpt is recommended for dryer skin tones is because its more moisturizing, so it won't look cakey on your skin either. And the face and body foundation is okay for certain people. It's not something I would use daily because I have dry to normal skin so I need something more moisturizing and plus I don't like the watery texture of this foundation & it always needs to be shaken- plus I love my silicone primer and using that under this product doesn't work out too well- the foundation doesn't seem to blend too well after using a silicone primer. Here's a full complete review of the face and body foundation that I wish I could've said as well as she did- I would deff suggest you read it as well as when you go into Mac I deff think you should try on their new mineralize moisture foundation with SPF 15- this foundation is amazing, very good coverage and works great on dry, normal , or combo skin types- and it's lightweight with good coverage as well as a very natural, realistic (doesn't look cakey), yet satin finish. Also- the color range for this foundation is really nice! When you go into Mac though they can apply foundations and help you find the best one for your skin type, with the coverage and finish you want- as well as they can give you a few day sample so you can see how it wears on your skin and look in different lighting & will also color match you... Which is very helpful!
