If you're getting it professionally done, the stylist will most likely trim your hair or ends before the dye. If your hair is very damaged, I guess it kind of is a plus because your ends will grow out faster when they're freshly trimmed and healthy, I'm not sure about the bleaching though, those are really harsh chemicals on the follicle.

I bleached my hair a while back and my tips were really dry and split. I ended up having to het a hair cut because I couldn't dye over it. but all hair is different and I did do it myself so it probably did turn out worse than what it would professionally.
