I've always had problems with my eyeliner smudging on my lids. I once was told that my eyeshadow was really nice when it actually was my eyeliner that had smudged all over my eyelids. I've heard about putting eyeshadow on top of eyeliner except I don't really want that look. I'm looking for a crisp line. Does anyone have any ideas about how to keep eyeliner from smudging?

And I don't want to switch eyeliners. I really like the one I have.

Try using an eye primer before applying eye makeup.

Sounds like it's not the right eyeliner for you. Do you have monolids/hooded eyes? There are a lot of tutorials on how to do eyeliner for those eye types.

If you wear an eyeliner that smudes, you put black eye shadow over top, if it still smudges, that means you have an eye liner high in wax. Try a water proof wet eye liner. It will look nice and "crisp"

Definitely use a primer before doing your eyeliner and then finish off by lightly powdering your eyelids

After putting your eyeliner on, take an angled eyeliner brush, press it in an eyeshadow colour that is similar to your eyeliner then press down onto the eyeliner line. This will make the eyeliner stay and last for a long time :)
