Do you want animal hair or synthetic? Body Shop sells only synthetic brushes - none of their products were tested on animals or contain animal by-products.
Sometimes Walmart has great brushes too!

If you're just starting out with collecting brushes, I'd suggest getting some e.l.f. brushes. You can get them at Target, they're all about $1 - $3 and they work really well in my experience.
