I want to get one but I have no idea which is better? Birchbox? Ipsy? Julep maven? Etc.
I'm more into makeup than skin care if that helps

Ipsy. Cause they don't give you foil. It it depends if you want polish or makeup/hair/skin and sometimes nail products.

Julep maven gives you a lot of nail stuff.

Birchbox is good because they're cheap, and I always get good products from them. A full size in almost every box. $10 a month
But Beauty Army is good too because they let you pick your samples every month, and you can skip the month whenever you want (no charge for skipped months). You get to pick 5 or 6 samples every month (it depends because sometime they have a bonus item you can pick). The only problem is they have a bad habit of not rotating products every month, so you get repeats a lot, which is okay with me if there are a lot of full size products I like (which happens a lot).

What do you typically get in a BirchBox or Ipsy etc? Lol, stupid question I know but I don't want a box filled with eye creams or skin stuff :P

I would go with ipsy. They do give really good sized samples and full size. Birchbox gives a lot of foil packet samples and really tiny samples.
