I never used to but I'm starting to now and I'm really liking it :) it gives you an airbrushed finish. At least I think so. I love it.

I use a brush. I really like the Real Techniques flat top brush that comes in the core collection. Well I love all their brushes but that one in particular is great for liquid foundation and is affordable. Either that or my beauty blender. You can find a similar one by sonia kashuk that is less expensive if you are just learning how to use one.

Cheap alternatives to Mac Brushes, I'd recommend the real technique face brush, you can find these at Walmart and target I believe. Another one is sigma f40 flat top. Absolutely my holy grail brush. I have 3, 1 for personal use and two for clients! I stay away from those paintbrush looking brushes that is named for foundation just because they tend to be streaky. But anything could be blended in with sponges after. :) basically all in all, invest in a brush that is dense. Use buffing motions or stippling motions. If you're left with any streaks (highly unlikely with these brushes), just use a clean sponge and dab and blend away. Good luck.

I use my sigma round top kabuki! I hate using a foundation brush!! It makes me feel like I'm painting my face -___-

The elf brush everyone is talking about will give you a heavier finish and so will the real techniques one. If you use a standard stippling brush (I have the mac one) it will give you less coverage. I have acne and I find it gives me a good enough coverage! You need to make sure you clean your brushes regularly, otherwise bacteria can grow within and you'll get spots. Mac do a cleaner which disinfects them, or you can use soap and water :)

I use the Real Techniques buffing brush but use more of a stippling method to apply and then finish off using the Sonia Kashuk blending sponge and dab all over to pick up and blend excess foundation.

I use a stipling brush by sephora and its amazing (: I stipple it onto my face and then I swirl it into little circles to blend it into my face
