Is it true that you should change your mascara every two weeks? What can I do to prevent my eyelashes from looking clumped? Thanks!

Clean the mascara brush every so often. It means that any old excess mascara won't attach to the stuff you are putting on.

Depends on your mascara, do not pump your mascara either to get more product on the wand, that will force air into the mascara making it dry up and more prone to making a clumpy mascara. Build on mascara, do one coat, dry then second coat. Then comb out with lash comb to take out any clumps. And mascara should be thrown out every two to three months unless you can detect a distinct smell to it ( usually gasoline odour) then throw it away asap. A good non clumping mascara is Lancôme definicils or hynose, or cheaper alternative Loreal telescopic as these are more defining mascara for length. Just keep air out of the tube and use mascara/lash comb and you should be golden :)

Mascara is good up to 6 months of using it. After 6 months the chemicals start to churn and it's not good.

I took the rubber brush part to one of my old mascaras & washed it off clean. Then I use it after I finish my mascara routine, for a polished finish.

Change your mascara every 6 months. Do not "pump" the brush because it lets air into the tube which can contain bacteria. When you apply your mascara "wiggle" your brush along your lashes to separate them. Also, before applying the mascara you can wipe off the brush so that it takes off the old product that has been dried on and it takes off some of the new product as well so that you're not applying an overload of mascara to your lashes. Try invest in a good mascara, I currently use Clinique High Impact mascara for an everyday look, and I also have Benefit's They're Real mascara which is amazing.

Lol I use a safety pin to separate my lashes so they don't look clumped :) be cautious though because I have poked my eye before!
